A number of annual events are held in Cardiff, including:
April: Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre

May - June: Hay Festival is a 10 day literary festival which seems to grow every year. Previous years star speakers have included President Clinton.
July - August: Cardiff Festival - well worth a visit.

In August the 3 day Brecon Jazz Festival features 90 concerts and performances, many by international performers.
September: Abergavenny Food Festival one of the top events in Wales.
November - January: Winter Wonderland. In the winter months the lawn in front of Cardiff City Hall is transformed into a winter wonderland, with stalls and ice-skating.
