Cardiff Airport's Burger King received the Most Improved Burger King award at the BK Conference last week. A spokesman for the airport said that it 'proves that the airport's Whoppers are still the best in the travel business.'
The award included an engraved plaque and £200 of high street vouchers for the rest team. The franchise picked up the prize after achieving outstanding results in 3 unannounced Operational Excellence Reviews since July 2008, marking the Burger King on its speed of service, staff friendliness, overall performance, hygiene and cleanliness and above all, the quality of food.
Unit Manager, Kailash was presented the legendary wobbly-headed Burger King trophy by Regional Director, Cathy Granby. He said, 'We work hard to make sure it is a pleasant environment for both our customers and staff. If we wouldn't eat here, why would we expect anybody else to? This way, we ensure each customer leaves with a full stomach and smile on their face.'
