The company that provided online bookings for Cardiff Airport - and operated the website - has ceased trading, the South Wales Echo reports. Airport executives say they are reviewing the need for a booking system on the website, and may turn it into an information only portal.
It was announced over the that weekend Travel Worldwide, which operated the bookings system on the cwlfly.com website, has ceased trading. In a statement the airport said: ‘The cessation of the bookings system does not have any direct impact on Cardiff Airport's operations. The rights to cwlfly.com revert to the airport. We are reviewing the bookings element of the website, whether to re-introduce the service and how.’
Steve Hodgetts, business development director at Cardiff Airport, said: ‘We are disappointed that the operator of cwlfly.com has ceased trading and the issues this may cause for existing customers.’
Customers who have booked via cwlfly.com should contact Travel Worldwide on 0871 989 9928. They should also contact their airline to ensure they have a record of booking and contact details.
