Cardiff Airport is to get a direct link to Florida next summer from Scottish budget airline Flyglobespan. The airline plans to renew Wales' easy access route to the US holiday capital when it launches a scheduled service next May.
They will fly every Wednesday between Cardiff and Orlando Sanford. Flight only prices start from £170 per person, with fly drives from only £375 and villa holidays from £425 - all inclusive of taxes. The airline also will also offer a Business Class service on the route with prices from £699 per person including taxes.
Flyglobespan CEO Rick Green said: ‘We are very excited about launching this route. It will give passengers from Wales and beyond the opportunity to enjoy a fast, efficient service to one of the world's top holiday destinations. Our flights and holidays to Florida will deliver quality at great prices.’
Spencer Birns, Head of Development at Cardiff Airport added: ‘It is great to see a direct Florida route back at Cardiff. Flyglobespan has realised the great opportunity that existed in serving the Welsh market and the strong demand in the region.'
