Cardiff Airport is considering changing its name as part of a rebranding exercise, the Western Mail reports. The 60-year-old airport has already gone through several rebranding exercises over the years. It was originally known as Rhoose Airport, before becoming Cardiff Wales Airport and, more recently, Cardiff International Airport.
However, a spokesperson told the newspaper: ‘We’ve started looking at our brand and doing some research and the name is part of that. It depends on the research – but it could show it should stay as it is. We’ll have a better idea in a couple of months.’
It is not the first time it has been suggested, with a similar story published two years ago. Our favourite choice was Tom Jones International Airport. Well if the US can have John Wayne and Ronald Regan....
