Flights are returning to normal at UK airports after dense fog caused days of disruption for more than eighty thousand of travellers last week. The heavy fog lifted yesterday, allowing airlines to begin clearing the backlog of passengers. There were were still some delayed and cancelled flights, but in the main flights were operating to a near normal schedule.
