Flybe has installed 3 self-service kiosks at Cardiff Airport, offering passengers an additional choice at check-in. The airline is the first to invest in this technology at the hub, which it claims demonstrates its ‘commitment to customer service’.
More than 40% of Flybe's customers travelling through UK airports use electronic check-in facilities. Business and leisure passengers benefit from a faster transit through the airport by using the kiosks.
Simon Lilley, Flybe's marketing director, said: ‘We are committed to getting the millions of passengers we carry each year through the check-in process as quickly and efficiently as possible. These machines minimise queuing and speed things up, allowing passengers to enjoy their travel experience more. We are pleased with the customer uptake, however are not surprised that such a hassle free check-in option is proving so popular.’
Spencer Birns, head of aviation relations at Cardiff Airport, added: ‘We welcome this development from Flybe. This shows the airline is leading the way by investing in new technology to give their passengers more options, making the journey from their local airport a more enjoyable experience.’
