bmibaby axe three routes
15.01.11
bmibaby has axed 3 routes from Cardiff Airport after a fall in passengers. The airline said it was ‘regrettably suspending’ services to Munich, Jersey and Edinburgh to allow it to concentrate on more popular routes.
The service to Munich was only introduced in October and was expected to carry over 10,000 passengers during the winter. At the time it was hoped the route, with up to 3 flights a week, would develop business links with Germany.
Flights to Jersey will end on March 25, with flights to Edinburgh ending on March 27. The last flight to Munich left on January 2. A bmibaby spokesman apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers and added those affected receive a full refund.
