Eastern Airways is to launch a new Sunday service between Newcastle and Cardiff airports, offering travellers a new weekend option. The introduction of a Sunday service also follows Flybe’s decision to withdraw from the route.
The new Sunday service will start on October 31 and will help business travellers heading to South Wales or to Newcastle for an early Monday start, and also leisure travellers taking a weekend trip. The airline already offers two flights each way each weekday between Newcastle and Cardiff.
The Sunday flights will depart from Newcastle at 17:35, arriving in Cardiff at 18:40. The return service leaves Cardiff at 19:05, landing in Newcastle at 20:10.
