Drunken man kicked off holiday flight
15.06.11
A pilot refused to take off from Cardiff Airport until a man was removed from the plane because he was worried about the amount the passenger had drunk, the BBC reports. The man, aged 31, from Swansea, was removed from the Bodrum, Turkey bound flight, causing a 25 minute delay on Monday.
Thomson Airways confirmed that flight TOM 690 was delayed for 25 minutes due to a passenger becoming disruptive as the aircraft began taxiing towards the runway for take-off. A spokesman said it had a zero tolerance policy to drunken behaviour. A police spokesman said the man was scared of flying and that they would not be taking any further action against him.
