Flights hit by heavy fog

Passengers flying to and from Cardiff Airport suffered delays and diversions yesterday because of thick fog. Two planeloads of passengers taking flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh were forced to take a coach to Bristol to catch their flight.
A spokesman for the airport said it would 'only operate flights when it is entirely safe to do so.’
