North - South air link takes off again
10.05.10
Flights between north and south Wales took off again this morning after a 2 month break caused when the previous operator, Highland Airways, went in to administration. The Cardiff Airport - Anglesey route has been taken over by Manx2 and will operate twice a day in both directions from Monday to Friday.
The Cardiff - Anglesey air link started in May 2007, attracting 40,000 passengers to date. Manx2 will operate the route along with its partner carrier FLM Aviation for 7 months. The assembly government will run a tendering process during that period to appoint an operator for a further 7 years.
