Flybe becomes Cardiff's biggest airline

Flybe has been named Cardiff Airport's biggest airline, beating off other airlines including the previous number one bmibaby. The regional budget airline operates seven routes from Cardiff including to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast City, Newcastle, Aberdeen and Paris.
Spencer Birns, head of development at Cardiff Airport, said: ‘We are pleased to see Flybe's consistent growth, offering our passengers a wide range of routes and frequent flights to sought after destinations.’ Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, thanked the airport's passengers for helping it achieve the ‘key milestone’.
