Cardiff FA Cup song launched at airport

04.05.08

Passengers at Cardiff Airport were 'flying high' yesterday, when James Fox took his guitar to the departure lounge to perform the official Cardiff City FA Cup song. He was also at the hub as patron of Velindre Hospital to collect £5,000 thanks to a fundraising campaign by the airport.

The Cardiff City FA Cup song - Bluebirds Flying High - is officially released tomorrow and James is currently at number one in the HMV Rock and Pop chart – on pre-sales alone. He said: ‘I haven’t played an airport before but the response was superb. You can tell the song is getting out on the street as everyone now knows the words, especially the chorus.’

Go over to youtube.com and type in James Fox Cardiff to listen to the song. We thought it was a typical FA cup song - so good that we couldn't listen for more than about 30 seconds! But then again we're not Cardiff supporters.
