A woman has been sentenced for attempting to smuggle Class A drugs into the UK through Cardiff Airport. Angela Edward, 39, of Camrose Road, Ely, Cardiff, was stopped by Customs officers last November after flying in from Amsterdam.
A search of her baggage revealed a rolled-up cigarette containing cocaine. She was also carrying amphetamines in her jeans. She admitted importing the drugs and received a 12 month community rehabilitation order and an 80-hour community punishment order.
